Do I need phone hardware to use GoTo Connect?

Hardware is optional! GoTo Connect’s video conferencing, voice calls, messages and admin features all work right on your computer or mobile device – whether in your browser or the GoTo app. If you need to build a phone system for your office, talk to our sales team.

Is GoTo Connect easy to setup? How long does it take?

Getting started with GoTo Connect is easy! With our intuitive interface and visual dial plan editor, you can quickly create and customize your phone system, no IT experience needed.

Exact time to deployment is different for everyone, and depends on how many seats you have, how many numbers you’re porting (transferring), unique business needs, among other factors.

What calling countries are included in the ‘free international calling’?

Free international calling up to 52 countries is included only in Standard tier. For more details on country availability and calling rates visit the GoTo international calling page.

Will I be charged tax?

We are required to charge any applicable taxes based on your location.

What is an SMS Credit?

SMS credits are an allowance provided to your GoTo Connect account to send and receive SMS and MMS messages.

SMS (Short Message Service) is the standard format for sending text messages. Each SMS message deducts at least 1 credit from your allowance. A single credit accounts for up to 160 simple characters (excluding emojis, links, or pictures). SMS credits reset every month. SMS service is only available in the US and Canada. After allotted SMS credits are used, the overage charge in the US is $0.0055 per credit and in Canada is $0.00715.

MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service): This format allows you to send messages with multimedia content, such as pictures, audio, and video. Sending an MMS message will deduct 3 SMS credits from your allowance, reflecting the additional resources and bandwidth required for multimedia. MMS service is only available in the US and Canada.
